Luis Torres, LCSW
Therapist
Growing up in Utah, I didn't see a lot of diversity — the only time I saw people within my race and culture was at church, and I never had a doctor or therapist who looked like me. I wanted to be that person for others. I'm a 3rd- and 2nd-generation Mexican who studied this field to help people know their own truth. I've worked with youth and families and as a Registered Behavioral Technician supporting children with autism and their parents. Now I specialize in the LGBTQA+ community and BIPOC individuals. I believe one of our deepest fears is the fear of being honest. The truth can be difficult, even painful — but when we give ourselves that honesty, we can start to heal and grow.
